Economic Report - Summer of 2013

The economy in summer resort areas has some quirks.  A larger than usual percentage of it is directed towards indulging various minor vices.  Here is a local emporium;

Fudge, Liquor and Fireworks.  Yep, that just about covers it.

This sign is SO wrong, on SO many levels, I just don't know where to begin...

One is reminded of the old bar sign:

Liquor in the front. Poker in the rear.

Fireworks were often involved there, too.

mooseandhobbes,
Most excellent to hear from you. Shame we did not coincide this year in Northumberland.

UKHouston,
Actually, the casino is just up the road a bit.

Hi Tacitus2, we'll have to try to co-ordinate for next year's Vindo season, but it's so difficult.

I got to see Snowglobe because me and Nigel took a trip down to Kendal.

I went over to Turkey for a few days, and got to a site with a shrine to Jupiter Dolichenus, but I'm in Blighty for the summer http://mooseandhobbes.wordpress.com/2013/06/28/duluk-home-of-a-god-or-two/

Canadian Katherine is going to be over next month and we're doing a grand tour of Roman London, so I'll post some pictures of that too. London is such fun in the summer.
